...that's what this year's Landscape Showcase is all about. We gave local designers several landscape challenges and problems to solve. You will benefit from the expertise offered in the Showcase Gardens.
A small yard is a challenge many homeowners face. Two designers have tackled the challenge and are excited to show you several creative solutions that will ensure privacy, beauty, and plants that won't outgrow the yard before you outgrow the house.
Water is California's true gold! Without it, California gardens would resemble the desert. As this precious resource sustains our lives, it also allows a garden to thrive in our region. What options do we have for landscaping responsibly, without sacrificing a garden of beauty? Three designers will show you alternatives for landscaping 'green'. These gardens will include high, medium and low water planting alternatives. Recycled materials can make for fabulous furnishings or perfect drainage.
New this year is a River-Friendly EcoLandscape display garden. This 800 square foot garden will emphasize a holistic approach to landscaping that works in unison with nature and supports California's key ecosystems.
