VETUS QUOD NOVUS by Moss Landscaping
This design features "vetus quod novus" concepts; meaning techniques and styles based in ancient and modern architecture. Old type Mediterranean columns built in harmony with modern rusted steel, monolithic limestone rock, classical mosaics and arbors all come together to accommodate a contemporary vision.
ARBOR
It's a simple classic Greco arbor concept with a modern touch. It's located in the center of the design. Made with 4 columns, it is connected with black steel that has patinaed on top.
MOSAIC
Located directly center and underneath the Arbor is the mosaic. This will be of a classical Greco likeness.
SEATING & FIRE AREA
Giant solid flat seating stones circle the classic stone-age fire pit construction. Inside this archaic fire pit is laden with aqua fire glass.
SURFACE
The ground you walk upon is of the likes of travertine texture and light olive tone.
WATER FEATURE
The majestic water wall is located just beyond the fire and stands in the background. It's made with columns that frame the wall. This wall is fashioned with a shear steel face, which showcases a patina and texture with smaller randomly set steel tile.
BAR
The bar at the opposite end is constructed with smaller columns that are spaced between petitioned sheet metal. The counter top is specially designed with a travertine style concrete finish and chiseled edge finish.
PLANTS
Formal style planting of mostly Mediterranean type species. Classic choices such as Italian Cypress and Lavendula are among selected varieties.
