Kids, Come Dig Into the Fun!
Join the UC Master Gardeners on Sunday for Family Day and enjoy hands-on activities designed especially for young gardeners!
Kids can discover the fascinating world of worm composting and put their senses to the test with “What’s in the Box?” — a mystery-box challenge filled with garden-inspired items to identify by touch. Master Gardeners will help kids explore what they discover and learn more about the plants, soil, and other interesting things found in the world around us.
Fun, hands-on learning for curious kids of all ages — Sunday only!
Shop the Kids Market located Outside near the Farm and Building B
Come support the next generation of young entrepreneurs at our Family Day Kids Market! Kids will take center stage as they showcase and sell their own products, creations, and handmade goods to Expo attendees.
Stop by to shop small, encourage big ideas, and support these talented young business owners as they experience what it’s like to run their own booth and share their creativity with the community.
The Kids Market will be open Sunday only during Family Day!
Buzz Into Family Day!
Kids can discover the amazing world of bees through fun, hands-on activities! Get an up-close look at a live honey bee observation hive, explore bees under a microscope, make your own bee antennae, and spin the educational prize wheel for a chance to win a prize.
Along the way, kids will learn why bees and other pollinators are so important and discover simple ways they can help create bee-friendly gardens and habitats at home.
