Landscape Showcase
Sponsored by The Home Magazine

Gary Brown Enterprises, producers of the Northern California Home & Landscape Expo, has developed a reputation for not only having the best 'home show' but also the most landscaping for gardening enthusiasts to enjoy.

This year's Landscape Showcase will feature current design trends that can be highlighted or added to your own yard. Many homeowners are striving to create a vacation paradise in their own backyard complete with family-fun built right in! Others prefer a tranquil space set apart to relax in nature and the soothing sounds of water. This year, three designers were selected to build a large-scale garden at the Expo to feature a variety of these trends. Be sure to spend some time admiring these beautiful displays, seeing the latest in plants, design ideas and learn ways you can enhance your own landscape.

Our Water Our World

Our Water Our World

Our Water Our World is an award-winning partnership between city- and county-based water pollution prevention agencies and garden centers and hardware stores that sell pest control products. They focus on less-toxic, eco-friendly products and techniques because many common pesticides are harmful to sensitive species and ecosystems when they reach local creeks, bays, and the ocean.

Planting a variety of flowering plants that bloom throughout the spring and summer gives you a beautiful garden and can also reduce the number of garden pests. Many commonly available plants— including drought tolerant plants—attract beneficial insects that feed on pests you don't want around. Beneficial insects are the ultimate non-toxic pest control. And they do all of the work for you!

Visit them at the Expo and receive lots of great information.
